About Keyword Checker
Why this exists
Keyword Checker started from a simple frustration: the tools that give you real, accurate keyword data tend to be expensive and built for agencies, while the free options are often light on real data or bury the useful numbers behind their own upsells. We built this as the middle ground — real Google-sourced search volume and CPC, a genuinely usable free tier, and a paid plan priced for an individual creator or small business rather than a marketing team's budget.
Where the data comes from
Search volume, CPC, and related keyword suggestions are sourced through a licensed data API that draws on Google Ads data — the same underlying source most established keyword tools rely on. We don't generate estimates from unrelated traffic models or guesswork. When a number can't be reliably determined for a given term, we show that plainly rather than filling in a fabricated figure.
How we operate
- Independently run. Keyword Checker is built and maintained by a small, independent team, not a large agency — decisions about pricing and features are made directly by the people building the product.
- Straightforward pricing. The free tier is free permanently, not a time-limited trial, and Premium is a flat monthly price with no hidden usage tiers.
- Careful with account data. Passwords are hashed, never stored in plain text, and payment details are handled entirely by our payment processor — this site never sees or stores card information.
- Built to be corrected. If something is inaccurate, confusing, or broken, we'd genuinely like to hear about it — see the Contact page for how to reach us.
What we don't do
We don't sell user data, run third-party ads on this site, or inflate search volume numbers to make a term look more attractive than it is. Keyword research only helps if the numbers behind it are honest — padding them would defeat the purpose of offering the tool at all.
Questions or feedback
If you've used the tool and something didn't work the way you expected, or you have an idea for what would make it more useful, the Contact Us page goes directly to the people who build this — not a support queue.
