Who this covers

This policy applies to www.kwchecker.com ("Keyword Checker", "we", "us") and describes what information we collect from visitors and account holders, why we collect it, and how it's handled. Using the site means you've read and accepted this policy. We're based in Pakistan, and this policy is written to be consistent with Pakistan's Electronic Transactions Ordinance 2002 and Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act 2016. Where a visitor is located in a region with its own data protection law (for example the EU or California), we aim to honor the access and deletion rights that law grants, through the same process described below.

What we collect

• Account information. If you register, we store your email address, name (if provided), and a securely hashed password (we never store your actual password — it's one-way hashed and cannot be reversed, even by us). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile photo from Google.
• Usage data. We log the searches, backlink checks, and trending-keyword lookups you run, along with whether the result was served from cache, so we can enforce daily/monthly usage limits and diagnose problems.
• Device and network signals. To keep the free tier fair (stopping the same device from resetting its daily limit via private browsing or a different browser), we use your IP address and a basic browser fingerprint (screen size, timezone, and similar technical signals) alongside a cookie. None of this is used to identify you personally beyond enforcing usage limits.
• Contact form submissions. If you message us, we store your name, email, and message so we can reply and keep a record of the conversation.
• Payment information. We do not collect or store your card details. Payments are handled entirely by our payment processor (Lemon Squeezy), which is the merchant of record for all purchases — your card information goes directly to them, never to us.

Cookies and similar technology

We use a small number of cookies: one to keep you signed in (httpOnly and secure, meaning it can't be read by page scripts), and one anonymous identifier that lets the free tier work without an account. Neither is used for advertising or third-party tracking.

Who we share data with

We don't sell your data. The following third parties process data on our behalf, strictly to run the service:

• Our search data provider — receives the keywords or domains you search, to return the results.
• Lemon Squeezy — handles all payment processing and billing for Premium subscriptions.
• Google — if you sign in with Google, for authentication.
• Infrastructure providers — our hosting, database, and email-delivery providers, all of whom process data only to keep the service running, not for their own purposes.

How long we keep data

Account data is kept for as long as your account exists. Usage logs (search history) are kept to enforce rate limits and are not retained indefinitely. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we're required to keep records for legal or accounting reasons.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you at any time via the Contact Us page. If you have a password-based account, you can also change your password or sign out of all sessions from your account page.

Children

This service isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country).

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated policy.
